TANGE
Tange was created as a Mother’s Day gift for the mother of my sons.
She is Native American, Choctaw from Taos Pueblo, New Mexico, and this piece was created to honor her strength, beauty, spirit, and presence. From the beginning, I wanted the painting to feel powerful, graceful, and deeply rooted.
Tange represents a strong warrior woman.
Not loud just to be loud.
Not soft just to be soft.
Strong in the way mothers are strong. Strong in the way culture carries strength. Strong in the way women hold families, history, memory, and future all at the same time.
The colors and composition combine my SAVO style with the influence of traditional old-school tattoo art. I wanted the piece to feel bold, timeless, and personal. Something that carried beauty, edge, heritage, and respect all in one image.
This painting is different from some of my Hip-Hop portraits because the connection is more personal. It was not just about capturing a public figure or cultural icon. It was about creating something meaningful for someone connected to my life and my family.
That matters.
A lot of my work is about transformation, identity, resilience, and human potential. Tange carries all of those themes, but through the lens of motherhood, heritage, and feminine strength.
The piece celebrates women who stand strong even when life asks a lot of them.
It celebrates culture.
It celebrates family.
It celebrates beauty with backbone.
More than a portrait, Tange is a tribute to motherhood, heritage, resilience, and the quiet power of strong women.
